Monica J. Copeland earned a Bachelor of Science from Alma College and then proceeded to earn a Juris Doctorate Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Cum Laude. Ms. Copeland passed the bar and was admitted to practice law in 1997. She has continually practiced law for the past 20 years.

Monica J. Copeland is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association, and the Livingston County Bar Association. She served as President of the Livingston County Bar Association via election in 2003-4, Vice President via election in 2002-3 and Secretary/Treasurer via election in 2001-2. She is the Chair person for the Domestic Section of the Livingston County Bar Association.
